Does the Shokan scrapyard pay good money for LIMP A8s?
Gonna send them pics, unless you guys beg me to keep the car. Vagcom says gear ratio error, tranny is done.

What is the history...
Whats the story on your transmission. Was the oil or filer changed recently?
Seem like if you touch an A8 transmission, change the oil, filer or do anything to an Early HP5-24 it fails soon after.
Consider selling it on EBAY. Disclose the problem. Someone might buy it as is. My 1999 sold on Ebay to a guy who owned a transmission shop for 6.7k.

Bought offlease w/18k, tranny fluids and 60k done in 2004. 109k on it now. Some scratches, nothing major.

or part it.. what year etc and any extras? wheels tires etc.. you might make out better
or soak the 2700 and get it rebuilt so it will drive like new.. I have been happy with mine since the rebuild
