Drains question ... water splashing from rear-seat vents.

After the touch-free car wash last week I got the dreaded water sloshing on the feet, so I need to clear my evap drains and maybe also cowl drain.
I can hear water sloshing around and even splashing out of the rear-seat HVAC vent. Will this be drained by the evap drains or is it trapped back there and needs an additional draining procedure??? Audipages doesn't really mention it.
Thanks in advance

I was impressed by how much black crud there was when I did mine. Did you do the sunroof drains as well?
You may have to wait for the existing water to evaporate before the sloshing goes away completely. PITA!

I think the problem is that the rubber nips get hard with age and don't open up to water pressure as they are designed to do when new. I would guess when they are new they feel like the real thing 8-D.
Ripping them out is probably the best way to prevent clogs.
I guess the big cowl nip is there to prevent noise or insects or whatever from getting in to the HVAC system?
Why they put nips on the engine compartment drains is a mystery to me. Just more German over-engineering I guess.
