Default EGR engine light
P1411 & P1423 codes, anybody have experience with cleaning and/or replacing the EGR? 2000 A8, 135,607 miles

I've had to replace the crispy vacuum lines to the EGR valves on the back of the engine, have you checked those? Also look for vacuum leaks as a failure of an intake manifold solenoid or other vacuum line can cause low vacuum and prevent the EGR from working.

Our cars do not have EGR valves or systems.
