Eibach and Koni yellow
I see that Eibach Pro-Kit springs are highly recommended, but does anyone have experience with the Eibach and yellow Koni shocks? An Audi tech that will probably do the installation said I WOULD NOT be happy with new, lower spring and the stock shocks.

The Audi tech is correct ...
.
about using stock shocks with shorter springs, since the shorter springs are undoubtedly stiffer. The problem is that going over a bump, the spring will store more energy per inch of compression than the shock can damp in one cycle of rebound. The result is that the spring then overextends, and it'll feel like you're driving with worn shocks.
I don't have any personal experience with Eibach springs and Koni shocks on an A8/S8. Note that though the Koni yellow is rebound adjustable, you have to disassemble the suspension and remove the shock to adjust it. Needless to say, you'd like to get a reliable recommendation that let's you set the correct rebound adjustment the first time.
