Default Majestic Rockies bow to D2ers' shiny aluminum, beautiful wives, personable children, slick mods.

Jim's street sagged under the weight of A8s and S8s:

Our host won the award for both Best Basement Imitation of a Professional Ski Shop and Most Excellent Wheels Under Tree-Fiddy:

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/84266/skiracer1313s8.jpg">

Ali A8 received widespread GPS envy for his nifty, totally pro, jewelbox center vent nav mod:

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/143582/nav9.jpg">

Professor Emeritus Tozo generously allowed us to drive his silky smooth short-shifting 6MT and demonstrated his in-dash 42" LCD Cray nav/entertainment center/backscratcher.

Otherwise, there was nothing to see or admire except a bunch of guys with nice cars, great personalities, and handsome families.

Thanks for the million dollar view and manning the grill, Jim!

Ben's car is nice indeed, but you should see the movie star head of hair on that lad of his.

Default Nice, PaulW. Now you need to meet Joel, Ali and Ben (who bought your S8) - the D2 lineup...

Even though my wife couldn't attend the gathering (ladies book club nite- kinda lame excuse, but what can I say?) we had 8 show up and every car was a unique color. Wifey's Avus would have been the 9th and another unique color.

Here is SWiseman's Silver '99:

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0027.jpg">

Next in the lineup we have jfrahm's Green (97 or 98?) D2

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0028.jpg">

Then there is ohbw's gorgeous Melange '99 w/ that superb stereo upgrade (his car still has that new car smell - go figure!)

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0029.jpg">

Skiracer showed up w/ his full family in his Brilliant Black '03 S8 sporting a new sub-woofer

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0031.jpg">

Next we have our vacationing guest of honor, TozoM8 and his freshly painted '97 w/ a 6-speed manual tranny and enough electronic gadgetry to make even ohbw blush with envy

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0032.jpg">

Skiracer1313's Ebony Pearl '02 S8 was the closest we had to a color match w/ skiracer's Brilliant Black - close, but no cigar

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0033.jpg">

Ali A8 acquired his '97 from a co-worker's wife who pampered the car- amazing how nice a 10-yr old German Pearl White paint job can hold up

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/97873/pict0034.jpg">

And last but certainly not least, is BLT4SPD's stunning '02 S8 in Andorra Red over charcoal alcantara. It's actually his wife Valerie's car and for the second year in a row a lady's D2 stole the show w/ the most elegant D2 present. PaulW- this is the car you sent skiracer and ohbw to scout out for you, but Ben was a step ahead and snagged it first
