Engine Hunting
I have a 98 A8 (ming blue, cream leather and 20" wheels), best car I have ever owned by along way. Had a few problems which I have solved:
R/H front knocking noise on bend - changed wheel bearing and CV joined, turned out it just needed inner CV joint lubing.
Gear box oil leak - wasnt normal Drive/prop shaft seal it was the one inner from that.
Gear box changing gear incorrectly - Gear box oil level needs to be accuratly topped up (a very fussy car).
The only problem left is the Engine hunts at low revs, I have heard there is a electronic box monitoring torque and then adjusts timing, I cant find this to clean connection etc. Also other ideas would most welcome.
