Engine softcode for Europe?

My USA 1998 A8 has an engine soft code of 01273.
Can one of us in Europe get out the VAG-COM and post their engine soft code? This might be a way for us here in the USA to pick up a few HP.

My 97's ECU will not accept any code but 1273.
