BTW, the A8 in SF was sold for $11K, it has the rear differential seal replaced as part of maintenance, Bilstein Shocks and new performace tires. Was that good deal ? No record of a timing belt chaged. Maintenance records only goes up to 60K miles.
What is the gas mileage on your A8's ?

With average 34mph, I had 339miles/16.7 gallons. I had to sit on the freeway traffic for a few hours idling and stop and go. If normal driving, I should get 21-22mpg, I'm sure freeway driving is up in the 25-26mpg.
97 for $11k is not bad, but some of his stuffs don't work like the rear shade. Was you the one that bid for 11k?

I didn't haggle a lot because the car was nice. He paid $2500 for the timing belt service, $4000 + $8000 (AUDI paid) = $12000 for new transmission @ 68k miles, he only used synthetic oil, new brakes, shocks... this owner paid over $10000 in maintenance in the last 20k miles that he put on.
Yeh, I think I got a ok deal for $11,500. I'm not complaining regardless of all the little things I'll have to do to make it close to perfect.
