FAILED emissions today!!
went to maryland's emission station today... they do NOT use threadmills anymore, they just use the OBD...
well.. the computer stated the my MAL failed during the OFF position (i guess they're trying to say my CEL did NOT light up) and also i got a manufactures code 1280 which also FAILED the test!!
what's a poor guy to do??!! the guy thinks i have a blown bulb in regards to the CEL, .. what about the 1280code...what causes that, and can it be reset with the VAG??
help....

Warning light for catalytic converter monitoring does not switch on immediately for some malfunction types, but rather only after two consecutive Driving cycles (Dcy).
