Anyone have any comments on Falken Tires? I have been offered a set of 245/45 18's in trade for a set of Dunlop SP sports. The Dunlops will not fit my 2000 A8. The Falkens will but I do not know a thing about Falken tires???

which means the Falken Tire Company does not produce one tire. We get a lot of those come to our shop seperated.

I had the z rated Ziex 512, and they wore quick on the outsides. Handle great, but alas, u get that lo speed railroad track sound on slow turns. Maybe that's an a8 problem tho. Consumer reports mag loves Falken blah blah blah...
225/55.17 is a rare size, so I went with 245/50.17 P Zeros instead. Plus winter 18s for snow. I also tried Pilot hxmx4 .(bubbles in each) Yoko H4s avid sqeal in turns..

Let me clairfy my position. Republic Tires are owned bt Kelly, which owned by Goodyear. That does not mean Goodyear prodcues Republic tires. Republic does not have a R&D Dept. They have no production plants. Their tires are made by Kelly but stamped with the Rebublic name. Falken is a private label in that Ohtsu makes tire for them.
