Default Falken Tires... Any good? Looking at the Ziex All season tire.

Jersey city took its toll on the tires.. i ended up hitting a hard bump and bulged BOTH Driver side tires. I thought i lost the entire left side of the car. Unfortunately it was unavoidable, a bus made a right on red.. a WIDE right and pushed me all the way into the shoulder. Yokohoma V4s looked nice also.

Default Re: good to hear.

I tried the Ziex 512 W rated, all season. Consumer reports claims they are top rated...

Handle great, decent in rain or snow. But, I get noise on low speed turns. As if I am going over train tracks. After 15k miles, I am also going bald on the inside edges of all places. I get alignments often.

I went to Yoko H4s Avid, and these howl at even the slightest turn.

Next up; P Zeros in the Spring.

Or, Sumitomo Srixon4 Hi-perform. all season. 80 a pop. 225/55/17

Default Private label tire that is on the low end of the spectrum

We see a lot Falkens come in to our shop seperated, although they we not the Ziex series. I would rate Khumo or Hancook a better buy than the Falken Ziex line.

Default Have 'em on my S8...

I've had them for about 10k miles now and they're working great. I'm in LA so the roads are fairly nice. The best thing I've noticed is that they're fairly quiet (relative to Yokos on my old a6 4.2) and the front tires aren't feathering.

Don't remember model number but I can get them for you if you want.
