Broken record, I realize. But if AoA monitors this forum even covertly, I hope they notice the number of owners of the new D3 who, in virtually every message, say they love their car EXCEPT for the horrible phone integration. While I wish there was Bluetooth technology in the '04, I'll live without it. But please, please, PLEASE, spend some engineering dollars on a MMI software upgrade so that you can dial the V60 through the MMI. You'll be paid back in spades by owners who will recommend your flagship car without reservation or exception. I hate to say it, but I'll even live without caller ID and phone book scrolling if I have to, but give us a basic dialer like they have in Europe. I've seen it on the UK web site so I know it exists!!!

Mebby the folks at AoA are scared of being sued by somebody who can't effectively dial and drive at the same time. Call it "sudden deceleration by phone" I don't know Ralph Nader's opinion on this but there's a lot of laws on the books prohibiting cell phone use in cars. AoA might be taking a cautious approach for now... OK, I'll go to my room now. ;-)

I hear you Paldi, but if that is the case, AoA should not have offered ANY cell phone option at all for the car. Lacking a dialer that shows me the numbers in the drivers' display, I am instead looking down and behind me to the right to dial my voice mail PIN and other numbers. Which is worse?
AoA has apaprently made a number of decisions to minimize threat of lawsuits, but this one baffles -- if they were worried about cell phone-related accidents, they should not have offered the V60 option at all. Since they made the decision to offer it.....FIX IT! It will be safer and easier to use.
