Final word on fuel pump purchase?

Maybe the cheaper Polish pump could be shipped to the US for a group-buy? If it were cheap enough, I wouldn't mind having a fresh pump sitting on my shelf.
Then if someone else needed it in a hurry and I didn't I'd probably be willing to sell it to them or work out a deal like the one you've suggested.

...and the plastic can be a little bit brittle. I had to buy a complete assembly since the captive nut in the tank was spinning and I hacked up the old assembly to get it out. Also there have been some reports of cracks in the vicinity of the bolt which sounds like over-torquing from a previous install, or it could just be time.
Perhaps someone who has gone the full replacement route can volunteer to document disassembly of the old housing...or offer one up to you??
