Default Finally back on track. NO OIL LEAK!

Ok so the head gasket was leaking.. but the people who did my timing belt over tightened the oil pump housing causing it to crack and start the spewing. The story gets really long and repetative.. so the end result was the mechanic refunded me my timing belt price of $1500
So total cost:
$1500 timing belt svc
$2250 Head gasket + new timing belt and serpenting belt
$900 Oil pump housing
-$1500 refund

=$3150 for replacing EVERY POSSIBLE OIL LEAKING PART IN THE ENGINE!

Now i have a 7.1 Digital sound processor to install in my car...

Default Ummmm..WHY did they even touch the oil pump housing while doing the TB change?!?

There is no reason I can think of to even go there unless there is already a leak. Also, if they overtightened these bolts (obviously no torque wrench in use in that shop) how many other items did they over/under tighten? These guys scare me......

I'm glad you have your A8 back finally, but now you understand why I do all my work myself.
