Finding led tail lights.
Anyone know where i can find led tail lights. I have an 01 A8L, ive searched ebay, audi parts carriers ans several websites and found nothing. I ve found plenty for the a4 and a6 but nothing for the a8. Also do the 04 headlights fit the 01's? i saw some on sale and think it would give my 01 a much cleaner look. Thanks.

I don't think the 04's would fit at all.
Totally different front end contours. As far as the LED taillights, I've never heard of any pre-facelift types. But then again, I've never seeked them out either.

The lights wouldn't fit. I haven't seen any aftermarket tail lights for our cars either. You can
use led bulbs in your tail lights but I do remember someone mentioning that our tail light lens are too thick for us too see them in the daylight anyways, which would worsen them.

I've checked, as well...
I'd love for someone to make a set of LED tail lights, like I've seen on some other forums. Unfortunately that guy wouldn't be me, as I don't really have the time to invest in such a project.
What I will be doing soon is retrofitting Acura TSX projectors in place of the stock (and rather poor) projectors in the headlight. I'll be sure to take lots of photos of the before and afer.

I tried this. LED lights will active the "light failure" warning. I returned to...
normal bulbs as i did not want to modify the cars electrics to fix the autocheck-system.
The warning goes off because the LED's don't have the electical resistance the system is looking for to determine a failure.
The solution is to mount resitors inline in the wires to (or from, dunno anymore) all the bulbs.
Same goes for brake-lights for example.
That would mean cutting the wires and soldering resistors in there. Something i refuse to do.
I never ever, in all it's 190000 miles, had an electrical problem and i want to keep it that way.
The right LED lights will fit by the way (physically that is).
