A friend is looking at an 00 A8, did they come with the heated steering wheel or was it 01+

My A8 is a 2000 and does not have the heated steering wheel
the book says it does, the fuse panel says it does, but there is not wiring for a fuse in the fuse panel. I think they pulled it for that year and reinstated it in 01'. hopefully some others with 2000's will weigh in.

Thank you, that is what I thought. I also didn't see it listed under the model guide for 00
but it is listed for 01.

...and those "with" seemingly have a high failure rate.
At some point within this year there was actually a poll on that here. 'Twas as high as 50% failure IIRC.
