Hello, I am new to the forum here. I recently bought front and rear set of Textar brake pads for my 2001 Audi S8 (Brembo) calipers. I was very surprised that the coefficient rating on the front Textar pads was only FE rating, not even an FF ! I decided to do an experiment and ordered a set of TRW pads, hoping to be an FF rating. I got the TRW pads now, but there are no rating markings on the TRW pads or the box. The TRW seem to me better quality built than the Textar,with less metal in them. Almost organic looking and darker more carbon looking, dustier than the Textars. Textars look more coarse, less dusty than the TRW's. I have both sets brand new and I don't know witch set to use. TRW or the Textar? and Why ? Please help. Also, does anybody know what is the coefficient rating on the TRW pads ? FE or FF or GF ? I cannot find an answer anywhere and it is mind bugling.I bought the Textar from BMA Auto parts and the TRW from Partsgeek. Both pads are original and the boxes have the Authenticity seals, so I know they are original pads and not some knockoffs.
