Default Front Passenger Window
98 A8 Quattro -The front passenger window makes clunking noises as it tries to move up or down.
How can I get the door skin off and what are the repairs to be made?

do you have the warm weather package, beacuse i am willing to bet it is the thing that holds the window panes together and when it hits the weather striping it clunks.

Default 2nd that
the cluncking I experienced can from the rubber stripping that the glass slides down. It was damaged by the drivers side mirror.

Default Yes, but never had this problem.
I was into the door to fix the door lock button, which had been heavy-handedly pushed into the door, by the previous owner.

i have the same prob with both driver side and pass. side. Is it an easy fix?

I have that too. The strip flips from pointing up to pointing down (only the front 3" or so)

Default I was thinking of replacing the outer fog wiper....
but I don't know what kind of job or expense that it.

Yes, the clunk is accompahied by the window reversing direction. How would I open the door trim?
