Default unfortunately, that sounds like the pump even though it's making some noise.

It looks promising that someone here found a pump replacement for around $125. Go back within a week there was a link/part # posted.

How many miles do you have?

Default How about disconnect the fuel line before the fuel filter and turn on the key to see whether fuel is

coming out. If it does not then the pump is toast.

tried that and nothing comes out.
I have pulled out the pump now.PITA!
any clever way to test it is actually shot, and the whining noise is just the obituary?

180k km which is about 110k miles
this is a used car and there are signs of someone having planted his flag before.
not sure if they have changed the pump though.

Default I see that the pump is working fine. Have you check the fuse and relay?

If the pump is working, there should be fuel coming out before the fuel filter. Put the pump back and hook power directly to the pump to see if it still pumping.

Default You have to wiggle it in. As I remembered, you have to put it in 1/4 of the way and twist the other

way to get it in. It should go in. Good luck.

I think that by now I have tried all possible routes this 3 dimensional world allows and no luck whatsoever.
frustrated and dissapointed.
