Fuel pump is starting to buzz noticeably.. I'm hoping a fuel filter replacement will ease the pain.

Fuel pump is starting to buzz noticeably.. I'm hoping a fuel filter replacement will ease the pain.
Now with 145k on the clock, I've just started to hear the fuel pump buzz. I could bet the filter is original and must be relatively clogged. Does anyone have any good news regarding filter and pump operation?
