Hello all,
After finding out the buit-in antenna didn't work inside the A8 with doubled-glass windows. I got external antenna and there it is.

Navigate A8 with Garmin ique3600

I don't know the options, but I know mine has the warm weather & cold & electronic package. I thought all A8s have double glass windows since they paid too much for it any how. We need someone to verify this.

What are the benefits of the double glass windows?
Does it keep the car better insulated (warm/cold)?
Does it also keep the car quieter, meaning less road noise?

The double glass has a metal film between the glasses. It reflects the sun to keep the cabin cooler. The warm weather package also came with the power rear sunshade and the solar roof. The solar roof makes a BIG difference. My wife's 94' Audi 100 with the regular glass was 25 F warmer than my 97' A8 on a sunny day ( 95 F Chicago summer ). You know, sometimes you don't want to sit on the leather seat if the car was on the sun for a few hours. I never had this problem, even the black leather steering wheel is only warm, never hot. It is a very nice option.

that is great I have done the same thing with my hp handheld.. I use blue tooth antenna and like you I had to run a an external outside the car too.. I mounted mine to the bottom of the from windshield (outside) under the wipers. can't really see it. and I get a good singal. the nav software and antenna I am using is co-pilot live... it has 3d views etc.. Paul saw mine when I visited him in chicago. I use this set up with a goose neck holder from akron that mounts to the windshield. I can transfer it to all my cars but I only need the exteral for my audi.
