Went to fill my car for the first time - couldn't get the filler nozzle to lock into position for continuous flow. The trigger kept tripping the flow off - the nice attendent finally came and rescued me - he said there was air in the tank and triggering the auto-off. According to him, this is common with the A8 - anyone else run into this?
btw - - fill up = 19.4 gal. = $47.38 - yes, that's $2.43/gal But, I'm not complaining - milk is over $3.50/gal, and my son can go through that in two days.

When I lived out in CA, I remember having to occasionally popping the seal of the vapor return to reduce the pressure as it would stop the flow. Maybe give that a try next time, BTW, was that your first fillup?

There must be air in the cow!! g, I never use the auto part of the pump so I cant answer your question but it seems like a bogus response from the attendant. Id expect that from the dealership salespeople first! LOL

With carpool duty, and driving kids from point A to point B all weekend, it adds up fast. I usually average close to 300 miles/week. When my son is finally old enough to drive, that should help cut back on my mileage. Course, then I'll be spending my time worrying about him driving in the crazy traffic out here.
