Default Getting My Car Detailed this Weekend

I've owned the S8 for a little more than a year now. The car is in great shape, but I still have swirls in the paint from when I got it, plus a few scratches on the rear bumper (one from a valet, one that I did the same thing on a few months ago) and I would like to keep it in great shape.

There was a guy on the Chicago forum that popped up when somebody asked about a car detailing. He does it at his house. It ends up he lives about 12 miles from me....

I will drop it off Saturday afternoon and then pick it up Sunday afternoon. Will ride my bike to and from his place.

He has an 01 S4 that recently won "best in show" during a show and shine with the Chicago Audi guys.

I'm stoked to have it being done, and I can continue the work on my bedroom remodel which is coming along, but I started the finish carpentry, and there is many, many hours left to do.

An example of recent work he did

Looks like he does incredible work. Too bad St. Paul to Chicago isn't quite a "bike ride" away or I'd bring the '99 A8 to him.

Cheers!

Default Too bad none of you live close to me...

I love detailing cars, especially mine.

Really though, It's a labor of love...

Default I think he takes about 8-10 hours total

He's got it down, and has power equipment and all the right supplies.

Maybe 12 hours. My car is pretty clean to start with. It won't take him days.

Default He said it was dependent upon time he spends

We've been trying to get together for a few weekends....I believe he said $200-300. I think it's going to be closer to $300.

He could buff your headlights clean!
