First off, I'm getting excited to go to Gingerman for one day.....$78 too, that's cheap!
Look at the course, it's like a go-kart track but for street cars!

In preperation for the event, I had to get some stuff done.
Yesterday I changed the engine oil and spark plugs (107K miles on them).....getting the upper right control arms replaced (that will be all but the lower left curved one) and the control arm replaced.
Bringing it the dealer next Tuesday for an alignment.
Plus I have to install my track pads some time next week and replace my brake fluid. Just bought one of these, should be here later this week:

I even have stainless steel braided rear lines that I bought and never installed, I'm going to see how hard that would be to get done.
I'll put my summer wheels on with the worn 245 tires.
Then my car will be ready for both Gingerman and Mid Ohio in June.

By the book, the procedure calls for adding a bottle or more of brake fluid to the Motive power bleeder. As you bleed a caliper, brake fluid is automatically transferred from the power bleeder to the brake fluid reservoir. Instead, I top of the brake fluid reservoir, keep the power bleeder "dry", and just use it as a pressure source.
The disadvantage is that you usually can't bleed more than 2 corners before you have to disconnect the power bleeder and top of the reservoir (and you definitely don't want to run the reservoir dry).
The advantage is that the power bleeder stays clean, and there's less mess to clean up. You don't have to transfer any unused brake fluid back to a bottle. And if the reservoir happens to crack under pressure (knock on wood), at least you don't empty the power bleeder into the engine compartment.
