OMG! Amazing!!! Enter this car in Contest
Tozo, you are going to be famous. Maybe Audi will present you with a brand new A8 6 speed for your efforts.
I saw a stick shift A8 in Sweden but it was a 6 Cylinder model (maybe a 2.8). I have to see this car. I was amazed when I saw your car last year with your laptop in the trunk feeding to the Hybrid Naviagation and Ross Online. Your car is absolutely amazing now.....

That explains the gear charts.
That's an S4 6-speed instead of the Euro A8 6-speed (charts with A8 tranny's have yellow highlight). It's interesting that the A8/S8 manual tranny is geared lower than the S4's.

Is the Motodyne ZF 6 speed comparable?
As I salivate over the 6 speed tranny, and can only dream of someday accomplishing the same in my A8L, I wonder what the difference would be (labor), performance, in the Motodyne ZF 6 speed tranny. It seems that it would be far less labor intensive, although is still going to cost around 15 grand installed (per web site).
Does it work? Has anybody tried it? Is the performance on the ZF 6 speed advertised on Motodyne's website the same as Tozo's?
It would seem that the 6 speed tranny would be a cost effective upgrade. (In comparison to the tens of thousands spent in modifications for the 4 cylinder comparo published in Car and Driver this month).
