...will let you guys know what the new A8 looks like in the 'flesh'. Although I no longer have my S8, I'm very curious as I may be in the market for the new S8 when it finally appears (as long as Audi sorts its suspension and steering out so that it feels more like a 911!).

In my opinion, if Audi can get the steering feel, weight and precision adjusted to make it more driver orientated, they'll be onto a surefire winner. Unfortunately, many manufacturers seem to mess up the ride/handling characteristics of their cars, trying to satisfy the American market, where boulevard cruisers still seem to outsell real driving machines.

I say let the D1 Phaeton handle the boulevard cruiser duty, make the A8/S8 the sports sedan!!!
