i've got a good relationship with my local dealership and this is my last annual service under warranty. the car has 45k kms on the clock. so i asked the dealer to replace tranny fluid & filter. they agreed which is most oblidging. my sales rep also was in the know.
interesting change even on a low k tranny. smoother shifts and faster up****s - no question.

noticed the same thing -- shifts were only slightly smoother, but it was a definite improvement. The tranny fluid looked good, and there were no chia magnets. I'll definitely repeat at 60k miles.
I was lucky enough to only have to pay for the filter. Repairing an ATF leak at an electrical connection on the pan required dropping the pan. While they were "there" for the warrranty work, I asked the dealer to replace the filter.

I'm about to do mine again, which will "catch me up" to one every 35k miles.
I'm going to do the A6 timing belt first. And probably the oil and transmission again on it, too.
