Had the motorola V60 professional hands free kit installed professionally. Cannot get the factory hands free speaker and radio mute to work. I used the ross-com to check and thephone is not urned on. Does anyone know the program dcodes to activate the phone. My audi didnt come with the factory analog phone. As the last resort, the shop said they could directly wire the speaker and radio mute.

If you did, it will work. Do you have the DB25 jumper in the trunk?

Your car came pre wired for the phone option even though it didn't come with the phone.

Yes, the shop followed the directions and the wiring was double checked. I went into the radio module using the ross-tech and found on channel 4 that the phone option was turned off. We just figured that that was why the speaker and mute was not working.

I have'nt figured out how to recode the radio. I printed out the wiring diagram and studied it. The way I see it, i dont see the where I would need to recode the radio but the kit doesn't work. I can dial out and out going sound works but incoming sound does'nt work. Also I can't receive calls because if the phone is in the cradle, it just rings busy. The only thing I can't verify myself is the db25 jumper wires because I'm in a wheel chair. My 99 A8 is probably the only A8 with hand controls

I've made a few of these things, and I never did it correctly the first time!

It's really hard to get those pins right if you don't work with them all the time.

I'll bet it's one of the jumpers is wrong.

Hand controls on your A8? I would like to see that!

the side of the console like Paul? If in armrest, what Audi part number cradle did you use? Is the hands free speaker working now? radio cutout?
