Happy 4th (er, 5th?) - nipple pinchin, clear cornerin, lens defogin, 7 beer jobbin Fri. nite fun:
It all started with Wifely tuning into something on der Estrogen Channel - puke. Off to da garage I go.
Figure I'll pull the trans tunnel carpets so as to be ohsoready for my Mon. return to de shoppe for cam timing fun - me air compressor's on der fritz and I need to blow out me AC condensor area drains.
2nd time's the charm on the carpet removal and it only takes minutes - hmmm, Estrogen Channel awaits me? NEVAH!
Gander at me unsightly front corner reflectors, recalling how I keep meaning to "get to" those. Hmmmm.
Off comes pass headlight, apart it comes.
This job ain't for the squeamish folkz - any youses technical enginerd rocket scientologist types might not be suited to task. Mission requires much Hail Mary activity - bending, prying, hammering, smashing, maneuvering, etc. Those wiser might think better - me I'm not so smaht so brains not applicable... plus, I'm Polish. I didn't bother with heat gun as mine's on the fritz (everything I own), and hair dryer was out as not to wake the sleeping beast (Wifely). The "bend it until glue breaks" method no worky for me, so, bendybendy then smashysmahsy, pass side is done:

Coupe de gras, and nearly more impotent than clear cornerin is... to defog me projector lenses. This has been a major thorn in me **** since I've owned der Alumibitch... Frosty the Lensman - LAME.

Figure light output is somewhat compromised, not to mention the utter unsightlinesses.
I'd tackled me UrS6 xenon install 10000000yrs ago, donor projectors from an A6 4.2 - so I was well versed with projector yankage, etc. 3 of 4 torx bolts securing projector inside the unit are no prob, the last is majorly impeded - I McGyver'd me way around it and got them out - FOG CITY!!! Easily visible is my wipe mark on the right of the lens:

After the first one the 2nd took 1/10th the time. All said, I escaped the endeavor unscathed - gotta say it's a sticky gooey unfun endeavor. Goo Gone was me afterward friend - not to mention beer #7. And time wise - gotta love the Audi Timer... OE radio times out every hour on the hour. Nipple pinching / headlight saga was a three-time "power-on" job... 3hrs.
Anywho, any Q's just ask. Pics should sum it up. All said, clear corners on silver look really fine:

I wasn't sure if it left these cars looking too "washed" up front - sometimes I like a little color. Esp. being silver, figured it might really look washed.
But it was evident immediately after install - me likey... less safe aside heh heh...
