Has anyone ever "blacked out" the chrome trim on an S8 ?
I'm talking the trim that runs at mid level around the sides of the car and across both bumpers. I thought it might give the car a streamlined, stealth look. If anyone has pics please post.

This was a factory A8/S8 option in Europe called "Black Line".
I don't know if anyone's tried to buy the "Black Line" kit in the U.S., but it does awfully nice.

Years ago there was a product manufactured by SEM...
called "Trim Black." It came in a spray can and allegedly contained some sort of acidic agent that allowed the paint to permanently bond to the metal. I used it for all of the chrome trim on my previous Audis and it never, ever flaked off. A superior alternative to the 'tape' method.
