Default having hard time removing console side panel on driver's side to unclog ac drain

i'm trying to unclog the ac drains on my 2000 a8. the passenger side was easy. however, i'm having difficulty removing the left side trim panel on the driver's side. it looks like i need to first remove the cover for the kick down switch, but i'm having a hard time prying off the 2 little covers, supposedly covering the screws underneath. any ideas? or is there another way to get the panel off on the driver's side?

Default your on the right track, it's a PIA to work it out. I think you can loosen the switch and rotate out

of the way. Other than that and the 2 screws, it's friction fit.

Default finally got it out!

what a pain! i'm not looking forward to fitting the side trim panels back in, especially on the driver's side. i'm glad they're somewhat "flexible".
