the car I bought didn't have any options - including heated seats.
Do you think the wiring is already there for a retrofit? I already installed my old seats (heated) and have all the switches. I saved the wiring from my old car too just in case it gets to that.
It would seem crazy to install a totally different harness at the factory but I just don't know.
Yes, I could always look

If all the plugs matched up under the seat, it could be there
But I have found that if you didn't have parktronic, you don't get wiring for parktronic.
If I could find a solar sunroof....I would consider retrofitting it to my car. I have recently started using the sunshades in the back and side windows, they make a big difference in the heat.
Here's some pictures from my Nav Plus upgrade on my 97....you could see if you have the wiring....the switches just plug in the HVAC control module.

Re: heated seats - do you think wiring is already there even if the car wasn't optioned that way?
In the UK up until 1997 all cars were wired for everything, solar roof, towbar, heated seats all round etc but after that every loom became bespoke only for the options ordered.
I suspect new options became available which requiring wiring to go one way or another rather than just having a switch plugged in, or not.
I would imagine the change would happen globally, so I'd be surprised to see the wiring present on a US car if it wasn't factory ordered, but happy to be proven wrong...
