This is kind of in reply to earlier posts on this forum regarding two subjects:
1. Heated Steering Wheel Technical Bulletin
2. Whistling from around the driver's head area
Well, the tech bull. mentions that it is normal for the steering wheel to heat up ONLY if the ambient temperature as indicated in your interior is below 70 degrees (and of course you activated the heated seats, any number will do). Well, tonight the temp was indicated 65 degrees. Steering wheel didn't heat up. I tried all settings from 1-6 for the seat, and even set the A/C to Heat. Nothing. Time to go back to the dealer (I have factory warranty for another 400 miles. Heheh).
As for the whistling, which was evident in my car over 60mph, it is gone now. Thanks to the post earlier by someone saying that in fact, it's not from the windows, rather the sunroof...need to use compressed air to clear out the drain tunnels. Dealer did it for me. Voila. Now the only sound in the car is the crappy Gooyear LS tires, they S*CK in every way!!!

Just talked to my dealer, they told me the ambient temp must be below 54 degrees, and not 70 degrees...as I read in a technical bulletin somewhere.
Well, they assured me that come time when it's below mid 50s and mine doesn't work, they'll fix it under warranty anyhow (since my warranty finishes in the summer technically and I had no way to tell if my heated steering was broken). I find it annoying that there is no use-control over this. If I want the A/C blasting at max in 85 degree weather but I want my steering wheel warmed, so be it! Why stop me....
