Make sure they have used the AUDI fluid.

Default Yes, lots of shops do not fill the trans properly...

It needs to be done with the engine running on an A8, but then it'll be a bit overfull unless you work through the gears. Overfull means it poots out ATF through the top vent when hot. Underfull means... stuff like what you are seeing happens, particularly when you go around corners/roundabouts.

Default before anything check the fluid level

make sure they check it at 37 degrees celsius and let it cool down for a while and check again
most places make a mistake of just checking once and leave alone
sometimes when the fluid is low the pump cavitates and pushes air into the oil flow thus making the level higher than actually is
let it cool down and let the air remove itself from the fluid then check it again
other than that sounds like a torque locking up early on the throttle range
hope it helps

http://www.euro-techmotors.com</a

Default Hmm...!

Just enter the 02 - Auto Trans then 03 - Output Test

Like this, but this is for the engine

Default Just done some vag-com logging - solenoids seem fine, what to log next?

Just been out and logged measuring block 5, 6 & 7 in vag-com. Can anyone help me understand if it looks ok.

here is the excel log. if you look at the group C 007 /rpm it is going over what is specified in the workshop manual.. see link for log file and measuring blocvk description.

The torque rpm max's out at 736 rpm. it says in the word file that it might reach 350rpm....

is it the torque convertor?

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ashcrawford/</a

Default I would check the fluid lever and clean all electrical connectors. Did you have

this problem before the rebuilt? It is a throttle by wire, right?

Default Yes, the problem was there before the rebuild

I'm not sure if its DBW, how can I check? I will ring the garage today and see what oil they used and also if they know how to fill it correctly.
