Default Let's see....$9342?? I thought that's what they would tell you

I wouldn't worry. The first code, P1624 just says that the check engine light is on, no big deal.

For P0730, the Bently has the following:

ATF dirty or level not OK

- Check ATF level page 37-24 .

Incorrect Ratio
Clutch slipping or malfunctioning
Solenoid valve dirty or malfunctioning

- Check using output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) page 01-72 .

Sensor for transmission RPM -G182- malfunctioning

- Carry out corrective actions for DTC 17100/P0716.

Sender for transmission output RPM -G195- malfunctioning

- Carry out corrective actions for DTC 17968/P1560.

TCM incorrect or incorrectly coded

- Check TCM identification page 01-19 .

--------------------------------------------

Note the first item, ATF fluid dirty???

Have the dealer do a change of the fluid and filter, clear the codes and I bet you'll be off an running again.

You mentioned the other day that somebody told you that they looked at your fluid and it looked great. NO HUMAN EYE CAN DETERMINE THIS!

Plus, they can't check the filter. All of this stuff it crapped up! Just get it changed.

I wouldn't worry.

Paul

Thanks Paul- I will have them Change the fluid AND filter, clear the codes and see what happens.

I'm just concerned at this point that they will not do it or just Poo Poo the change. I'll keep you informed! Thanks a million! SAB

Default You probably won't see much.....I wouldn't ask for it back

However, I would tell them to make sure they get a new o-ring between the oil filter and the suction pipe on the tranny. I'm wondering if some people on this list who have had post transmission fluid changing problems was due to that.

I will post a part number and picture after I drop my kiddies off at school!

Paul- Had the car taken to a reputable Audi Mechanic and he said he ran the codes, again, and he said that HE thinks the tranny is shot.
I told him I would like the pan dropped and the filter removed. All buttoned back up with the proper stabiling of the tranny. I plan on a visit this Monday. I just read all the info on your website and it sure makes a lot more sense NOW!!! Thanks again! SAB
