Help: Glove box lock removal?

Special tools and equipment
Precision mechanic screwdriver; 1.6 x 40 mm
Turn vehicle key approx. 45° (-a-).

Insert precision screwdriver into hole (arrow).

Lock screwdriver into guide tab (arrow).
Press guide tab upward. Lock cylinder is unlocked (if necessary, correct key position slightly).
Pull out lock cylinder with vehicle key inserted.
It may take a bit of jiggling to push up the retaining tab, but once you get it, the lock should slide out very easily

Loosen screw (arrow) through hole for lock cylinder until retaining bracket slides back.
Remove push button from front.

BTW did you sort the noise issue you had? Was it the cat? you would easily smell it if it were the cat's, I'd say! or might be the heat sheild (I had the same problem with me Rustang 5.0. I am not sure this bugger's got one). Anyways hope you found the cause, let us know.
