My tranny has not gone in limp mode for almost two months now after the second full flush.... So nothing to bitch about, thankfully speaking.

My sunroof switch does not close sometimes and I have to turn it to the tilt back position and then back to close once it gets close to the close position.

Today, it will not close. Also, it will not close with the key so I know something is not right. I checked some ealier posts and saw something about a switch.

Where is the switch to clean on my 97? Is this like an ignition swith or window switch? Is this something I can just buy and put in the car? Is there anyway to manually close the roof? Thanks again!

the handle is stored in the liner iirc (see your owners manual)

Audi A8 from 4D XN 005 000 till 4D 1N 999 999.

The 'official' advice is to replace 4D0 959 591 A (motor), dependent on type also potentiometer and cover for interior light.

I tried it again and it still will not close. I found the panel but dont have a phillips screw driver. I will get it after work and close it.

Any suggesions on if its the motor or a fuse? It will go from one position to another but its not smart enough to close. So, it sounds more electical than mechanical. It will go from all the way open to one third closed and stop and back again if you move the dial.

Motor or Fuse? I use my sunroof almost every other day and even in winter. This is a must fix!

so friction might be preventing it closing. see how hard it is using the crank. a lube might be in order...
