I posted earlier concerning replacing my coolant temp sensor. I was directed to a thread that told of the location of this sensor, but after getting under the hood to replace, I'm a bit confused as to where exactly it's located.

It's an '02 A8L, and here is a link to some pics I took. The only thing I saw that seemed to be even close was in picture DSCF0004, because it appears to have the plastic clip similar to the one I got with the replacement sensor. However, this thing is just laying on top the engine, rather than being in behind it, where the thread said it would be. Basically if it has four wires going to it, if you unplug it and the plug looks like the right shape for the replacement, and if it's sitting in metal coolant pipe running left to right, then that's probably it. I think the clip was in the horizontal plane but I don't remember which way it pulled to release.
