I am taking my A8 in next week for a new steering pump (warranty) however in the several days I have noted that on cold starts, when i accelerate, there is a winding noise that seems to come from under the hood. The winding noise is prolonged if I accelerate slowly. Once above a certain RPM range the noise is gone, and once the engine is warmed up, I cannot duplicate the noise. Any ideas or suggestions that I may pass on to the dealer would be appreciated.

Had that done twice already. Still the issue has not been resolved.

When it is REALLY cold at low RPMs, I get a bit of a whine from the blower for a minute or two.
