how much will the bi xenons help? i just purchased an 01 s8 as well and it has xenons but im assuming just regular...the regular ones just are xenon on the regular beams right? how much does it cost for the bi xenon upgrade and where would i get it?

Looking good-Bouncy rear end may indicate new spheres required if self levelling.
I drove a car like this recently and the fix was new spheres in the rear.
My car was done just before I purchased it for the same reasons.

I was pointed to a pair on German ebay- $1,800/pr shipped
And stock xenon's are $900+ each from the dealer. Apparently, they update the look considerably but the light output difference is minimal. I ordered a set and will report back.

That is a good price for a CLEAN 01 S8 got mine 2 yrs ago for 30k CPO with 50k
the ones you find for less have a not so clean carfax no records or they have excessive milleage. So mine lost from its value 6k in 2 years, which is match better than a leased POS MDX. Its a good thing not everybody knows about cars otherwise we wouldn't affort to buy these cars today.

I don't think it's the spheres. It's just that the S8's susp has too much "rebound" when
driven in fast, undulating and/or direction-changing sections. It simply doesn't stay firm enough during those important weight-transfer milliseconds. On open road, long straights, and most (reasonable) high speeds it's stable, but toss it around fast and the weight transfer is very noticable, and un-nerving.
Perhaps a thicker rear bar and coils with a higher spring rate (more stiff)--or changing to coilovers?
