....or thereabouts, I'm told that is the area, not familiar with all of the towns yet so I'll go with the town I know..not sure where the house is going to be, just know it will be near the lake...who are the michigan people here? A Michigan shout-out if you will....I am pretty excited, there definitely is snow there right?! Now I can pick up some winter tires and get use out of them...now if only I had a lift in my garage...but I'll keep dreaming..

Just received the clear side markers via Germany from ebay today...just waiting on the clear corners to perform the install...we all know Paul doesn't like the look with the clear sidemarkers with orange corners Cheers!

if you were moving a few weeks earlier, you could join us at the Audi Car Club driver's school at Grattan Raceway April 26 & 27.

<A HREF="http://www.grattanraceway.com/">Grattan</a> is a bit NE of Grand Rapids, probably about 90 minutes max from Grosse Point.

The Grattan driving school is a once a year event in April :-(

I guess that means you'll have to drive about 6 hours to join us at <A HREF="http://www.midohio.com/">Mid-Ohio</a> June 14 &amp; 15 :-)

First things first...I grew up in Grosse Pointe and remember, it's not spelled Gross Point, and when you speak of Grosse Pointe, you need to be clear on which city...There is:

Grosse Pointe Shores
Grosse Pointe Farms
Grosse Pointe Park
Grosse Pointe City
Grosse Pointe Woods

All cities are located along Lake St. Clair, with the exception of GP Woods. An interesting point to note is that there are no commercial businesses in GP Shores, however, the Grosse Pointe Yacht club is located in the Shores at the intersection of Vernier Road and Lake Shore.

The school district in Grosse Pointe is one of the tops in Michigan, along with Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham. Housing is a bit pricey but prestigious, as are the property taxes, and there is a lot to offer in GP.

I lived off Altar(sp)Road back in 1975 ( it's been awhile ago )where the "canal and a fence" separated us from some tough neighborhoods &amp; even had a Detroit address. Wife (then ) and I rented an upstairs of an old grand home from an old grand lady but enjoyed going to the various Grosse's for food and fun. I think that winter in Detroit it snowed over 75"'s.
