Default hey guys been a while

sorry, I have not been on in a while, been real busy, I lost my job downsize (job went to india) and looking for something now. Been trying a couple of things IT and home improvement services but they are my own business and in the start up mode and scary after being with a company for 20yrs. Anyway enough about that. This is a audi site. SO my issue is the past few weeks my car maybe once a week up until today would turn over but not start for about 5min of trying to crank etc. No I did not just crank it for 5min straight. But it did start. Tonight though it won't start at all. I have not had time to check it out yet I will try tomorrow. Might be the fuel pump. (lets hope only that). I will keep you all posted. Anyone else ever had any of these symptoms. If not the fuel pump anything else? Spark plugs are 1yr old. I will check those also looks like tomorrow will be a troubleshooting day after I do a small job in the morning.

Default my ecu is dry, now this morning I turn the key and it started right up.

Been doing this for about a month now. I am not liking this very much. I really don't need to spend money at this moment. Not a car to have with no job. urgh

Default Sometimes they're just bloody-minded...

A year ago mine went completely dead at a toll booth. I had to restart it. It never did it again.

Default yup me too. damn thing started right up today., I am going to have to test it next time it

does not start. any easy way to check? I was thinking pulling the fuel rail off or just the line going to it and see if I have flow.

Default It's either going to work or not work.

Next time it doesn't start, crack the fuel line at the fuel rail and see what kind of pressure you have. If no pressure, then check for voltage in the trunk.

Default thanks sounds like a plan.. I will keep you posted.. I also have to replace my upper

control arms again. Damn only lasted 4 yrs on aftermarket. Tonight I will change them again. I just changed the inner and outer tie rod last month because the inner was shot. Felt like my car was on ice all the time with a bad inner tie rod. much better now but I have the clunk going on driver side now and inner tread side of my tire is chopped .

Default I had those symptoms but one day it died for good. It was the G28 sensor.

There are a few things that could be the problem, but this one isn't too much $$ and is not too involved. It may only have to be cleaned. The end of my sensor was dirty and worn.

Info about it here
