I'm sure you read the Audi World feature on the W12 A8-- 0-60 5.8 secs, 420 HP! That's what you need to catch those M5's. Did you read the article in Car and Driver on your car, yes you did; guess it's not as fast as you thought it was-- sorry.

This is completely unsolicited crap? I haven't made a post on this site in weeks due in part to exactly these types of attacks!

Another guy who can't ready English and flies off of the handle with hasty responses to what appears to be verbose postings at 1st glance. Just Read it!

1) As I stated at 2200 miles, I was getting sub-6 second 0-60s (5.7s & 5.8s)..... Near-everybody said no way, BS, The factory numbers say bla bla bla... A 5.8 is now confirmed by C&D (Yes I did read it...) Makes a 5.5 a possibility after the car starts to loosen up and I start to "drill" the car in about another 6K miles (now at 3300....)

The car is exactly as fast as I thought. Remember, I have driven them twice in Europe and I know power (Nitros Q45 etc etc...) The S8 has tip-shifts and Quattro! More class, more exclusive, better styling etc etc etc.

2) As I stated before; "Smoked" an M5 IN THE RAIN..... Many debates evolved! Define "smoked", BS, NO WAY! bla bla bla..... IT WAS WET OUT! The guy probably had his Traction Control disabled - why - who knows...? BTW; Traction control "on" could be worse! It doesn't just magically give you this unlimited grip-response..... It actually retards power vis-a-vis drive-by-wire throttle/braking. Without the power the car won't run as expected. Again, wet weather was what we had.....

3) I wouldn't trade my S8 for a heavier, under-steering, 2-wheel drive hog with the same weight and less room and that from the mid-size Bavarian stable.... No way

4) W12 will be heavier, cost 100 large plus and will not be here for a while, if ever....

5) What's your problem? Bored with that mid-80s Audi Coupe? Gotta pick on someone just for "Fun"??? What is it? Mother wouldn't breast-feed you? Father didn't hug ya enough?

I was just pulling your leg, I only wish I had a car like your's. I don't even own an Audi, my wife does(2001 A6 Avant), but I am a major fan of all German cars(I drive a BMW 740). Sorry to upset you.

Naw, naw... All in good fun bud.

-Still a bit upset from a recent altercation.... Audi fans tend to be a rabbet bunch - part of their passion for the marque - I guess.
