04 AUDI A4 RADIO PART#8E0035195H SYMPHONY II SAT CNTRLS (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=S TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=30017722142 0&rd=1)
I've got the Garmin nav hard wired and I'm looking for a better Sirius option than the aftermarket receiver on the steering wheel (see picture poster)

....I have posted about this before, but now that I know more....you could buy that, modify the faceplate as I had done the same to the RNS-E (very easy), get the XM factory tuner (probably $75 on ebay) and get a plug and play wiring harness from Ted Basile......and you would have one nice set up.
You would also need an XM antenna, mount it under the hat shelf, done two there, works great.
Or you could try swapping faceplates with your stock radio, but no need to.
I bet for $400 (probably $300 plus you could sell your old radio) you could have satellite radio controlled and displayed on your radio. Nice.

ed two sirius radios, one in my car on in my wife's and on both of them if they didn't have a clear view of the sky they weren't picking up a signal. Maybe the antenna you are using are more powerful? I ended up mounting mine with glue on my a6 to my rear window just between the third brake light and the truck lid. (and yes it can be removed with a razor blade quite easily) and I put my wife's on the pass. side corner of her dashboard (she has a Mazda 3). Anyway just curious.

If I drive under three via ducts in a row, it drops out for a few seconds, or if I go by a big building that blocks the Southern sky.
However, my 97 had it on the trunk and my S8 has it under the hat shelf, EXACTLY the same coverage.
I just read an article on the web the other day, linked below which MIGHT explain why Sirius is not as well received as compared to XM. I have no problem with my XM reception, many times I can get it in my garage with the garage door shut.

A little more info
