HID converstion
Hello, new to this forum, I have been driving a great Audi V8Q until this past weekend and finally took the plunge to a 98 A8. I want to convert the headlights to HID, who has done this, what are the best kits etc.. Has anyone used the OEM Audi headlights that started coming on 98 and newer models? Is it possible to use the factory parts? Looking forward to may happy years and to getting to know you all.

Welcome to the Club. I have two complete xenon lights from a 98' with ballast
one retaining clip is broke on each light but I have seen these epoxied with no problems. Bulbs and Ballast are new.

Are you saying you are selling these? Other than the ballasts, do they plug into the standard harness that all A8's have? The clips are not replacable? Do you have pics? Thanks!

He's got everything you need....
It's a very easy conversion, I did it.
I just sent an email to somebody with a detailed procedure....but now I can't find it....I have emailed him asking for a copy of it....if I get it back I will post it.

I have extra replacement "tabs" on a few of my housings. It seems in europe they have a kit to fix..
..broken tabs. If you look under the broken tab there is a hole for the screw that holds the new replacement tab in place.
