Hi AudiWorld,
I have bought a Audi S8, 2001 witch have "high flow" cats, or something. At least last owner told me that.
I get back lambdas error with vag-com, when I reset it, light will stay off for day-two, and then I got same error again.
My enginge is recoded 10753, witch euro3.
I have readed it could be recoded with 05752 - euro2.
I can' t do it without engine login. I tried 12233, 56789 - nothing.
Could anyone help me with that problem?
It' s really annoyin to drive with engine light on.
thanks,

What codes are you getting? The high flow cats may not change the lambda enough for the ECU's liking. You may need to do O2 sensor stand-offs with spark plug non-foulers to keep the light off.

I could be wrong but I dont think the S8 has that map on the chip (for Euro II). I dont think you need to log in to change the programming, for example if you change it to 10713 (manual gearbox) it will accept that code without having to log in because the program is there on the chip (I tried it on my facelift S8).
Another guy in the UK changed his S4 coding to Euro II but I think the S4 has that coding already on the chip.
I have high flow cats (100 cel) too I fixed it with Wayne angle. No CEL for over 10,000 miles.

However, I could be wrong, if there is a way to re-code the chip to Euro II or lower please let us know, as that way I can get rid of the rear lambdas alltogether.

I have code in my laptop.
Anyway, looks like I have to go with the non-foulers.
gOOOOran, I can change value to 05753 and press Do It, but after that old one is back. It just won' t change the value premanently.
If anyone have a idea, it would be nice.
Code is much easier to change.
thanks,

I tried 05753 as well and it did not stay when returning to the Engine screen.
My mechanic tried 10713 (without logging in) and it was accepted. He did this with the engine off obviously, not sure what that would do to the auto gearbox if it was running when the code was changed.
This makes me conclude that 05753 program isnt available, but 10713 is, and you dont need to log in to change it.
Here is the full coding map from Elsawin.

Now I have tried 2 different vag cables and still nothing.
I can' t change value.
Even 10713, witch gOOOOran pointed.
Looks like non-foulers have to go.
thanks
