Tozo, is there a crankshaft lock for a 99 ABZ? Couldn't find it in the Bentley...and isn't the eccentric roller on the passenger's side on that engine?
Don't punch me out through the internet, if that doesn't matter
Just curious.

PS, Congrats on a THREE liner

I never did a timing belt on the 32V motor, but there is a hole in the crank for the tool. The eccentric roller is on the pass side, but if you loosen it the belt will have enough slack to turn the driver's side cam.

OK, I've never even looked at a 32V in person. I was gonna tell the guy to use the 3242 tool, till I looked it up in the Bentley and the 32V t-belt procedure said nothing about locking the crank (like it does for 40V), so I didn't know if he even had the plug for the crank lock(?).
Looked up the tool (which I have and used on my 40V) and they didn't even have one listed for use with the 32V motor, so that really made me wonder.

P.S. for mrgriffith, this is it (if it's the correct one to fit your motor):

Other sources have it too. I bought mine on Ebay.

I don't believe they have a hole to screw in this part. I bought it for the V6 2.8L
If it doesn't show up on Bentley, it doesn't have it.

Cheers,

Louis

We finally figured it out. When took a close look at the crank pattern we saw that there was a small hump
at the begining of the pattern. So we started looking at the reluctor at the flywheel and found one spot at
the open space in the reluctor. It was bent up keeping it away from the sensor. So I modified a tool to bend
it back in place. And not to hit the sensor. It worked, the engine runs great. no check engine lite. All my
reading are steady. I'll call it a fit. Dont know how it got bent. If I did it or just what happened. Thanks for all
your help.
