How bad do the Ferodo DS2500 squeek?

But the DS2500 are a nice compromise. And you don't have to do a brake job when you go to or leave the track. The DS2500's are quite noisy, but I can live with it. I think most people think my car is due for a brake job when they hear them squeel. Had some comments about it from other drivers that were also driving with their windows down...

you'll still get an ~20% reduction in pedal effort that's a result of the DS2500's higher coefficient of friction.
I must admit, I was a bit surprised when escapA8 pulled into the Mid-Ohio motel parking lot and his brakes squealed. The last time I used them, I recall an occasional squeal only under light braking. I'm wondering if my slotted rotors affect the surface of the pad enough to reduce the squealing??
Still, the noise from the DS2500 on escapA8's car is a fraction of the harsh ear-splitting fingernail-on-a-chalkboard screech you get from a cold full race pad like the Pagid Orange or the Ferodo DS3000.
