How do I add red guard lube to my tranny?

I like Tozo's idea about adding the lube. I have a pump, 17mm hex head and jack stands. I assume I should start the car, let it warm a bit first, then put it in drive with the brake on and remove the fill plug. After that, try to pump the lube guard in.
Does this sound right? I am basing this off of the Audipages steps for filling the tranny assuming it was already filled correctly by my mechanic 5k miles ago.
I am assuming that if it is already full, opening the plug with the car cold, not running, or not in gear will just result in fluid leaking out (again based on how Audipages tells you to get the last two quarts in).
Any thoughts?
Thanks

1) Put car in garage.
2) Go to bed.
3) First thing in the AM, put up on stands, get under the car, ID the fill plug. Loosen it, but do not remove.
4) Start car. Just leave it idling in Park, you'll be fine.
5) Remove fill plug.
6) Pump in Lubegard.
7) Replace plug. You might consider replacing the o-ring.
