How to tell if I have Bremo front calipers on a '02 S8 ?
Apparently there were two different OEM calipers for the '01 and '02 S8s.Short of removing the wheel and measuring (345mm x 30mm for Brembo)I'm sure how to tell. The only thing I have found to replace the original rotors are Audi OEM (dealer price is a rip) and Brembo replacements. Any leads are appreciated.

If your front calipers looks like this, you have Brembo's.

A short trip to StopTech turned up several 02 S8 choices.

Why were there two options? Any performance difference?
I'm looking to purchase an S8 is it worth making sure a car has the Brembo front brakes?
What would the best way be to tell if the car has them on a vehicle in another state? I suppose just getting a picture of the front wheel.
If anyone has a picture of either of the brake setups on an S8 from the side with the wheel please post it.

Actually ...
This is the first I've heard that any 01-03 S8 has anything other than the Brembo 4-pot front caliper w/ 345x30 rotor. Are you sure two different calipers were offered for the '02?

The '01 S8 Specs indicate one size 345x30mm for rotors, and no mention of different calipers.
Where did you notice this, and was there any mention of what the OEM caliper version were?

This site list there being pads for either Brembo front rotors or Lucas front rotors for an '02 S8.
